About a year ago, my significant other began spending hours researching Harley Davidson motorcycles. I honestly believed it was just a phase and it would pass. How wrong I was.
On October 13, 2010, Darren headed to Timp Harley in Lindon Utah to bring our new ride, a 1999 Sportster 1200 Custom, home. And so the story begins.
I'm a 34 year old, divorced, mother of three who lives with my amazingly talented mechanic boyfriend. As a mom, a girlfriend, an artist, a small business owner, a bartender/pinchaser, I literally crashed into the world of Harley Davidson. Five months after bringing our first Harley home, I fell into a job at AAOK which is all about vintage Harley parts and restoration. I cannot even begin to tell you how hard it is to do a job when you know NOTHING about the product you are selling.
This blog is a documentation of my journey into and through the world of motorcycles. Everything from vintage Harley Davidson to the newest bikes on the road. You'll read about my process of learning parts, how a motor operates, what a bobber is, and actually learning to ride. That's right! I don't even know how to ride a motorcycle. It should make for some damn good entertainment at least.
